Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

Placeholder content - replace with your actual, legally reviewed Privacy Policy before accepting real users. As a global recruitment platform, this needs to account for multiple data protection regimes (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, and equivalents elsewhere) depending on where your candidates and employers are based.

1. What we collect

Account details (email, hashed password), candidate profile data (name, contact details, work history, education, skills, salary expectations, uploaded resumes), employer/company details, job postings, and application records.

2. How it's used

To operate the recruitment marketplace: matching candidates to jobs, allowing employers to review applicants, and maintaining an audit trail of account and application activity for security and dispute-resolution purposes.

3. Who sees it

A candidate's resume and profile are visible only to employers the candidate has actively applied to (or platform administrators). Employers do not have blanket access to the candidate database in this version of the platform.

4. Retention

Data is retained while the account is active. (Add your actual retention/deletion schedule here - this is not yet automated in the platform.)

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. (Add your actual request process/contact here - not yet built as a self-service feature.)

6. Security

Passwords are hashed, not stored in plaintext. All data-changing actions require authentication and are logged. See our engineering README for further technical detail if you are a data protection reviewer.

This page is a structural placeholder generated during development. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer/DPO before going live, particularly regarding cross-border data transfer and any specific country's employment-data regulations.
